The 79th Iredell County Agricultural Fair kicks off Sept. 1 and runs through Sept. 6.  General Admission $5; 6 and under free.  M-F Gates open at 5pm, Sat Sept. 6 gates open at 1pm. Wristbands for unlimited rides are $18.00; All Students K-12 on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday get $ 1.00 Admission; Senior Citizens (60 & over) Free Admission on Thursday

September 5 - A Taste of Wine on Main St.

Drink to a good cause!  St. Patricks Episcopal Church presents A Taste of Wine on Main Street in Downtown Mooresville on Friday, Sept. 5 from 6:30-9pm.  Tickets include tastings at 8 locations and wine glass. Redeem your ticket at the Insurance Center on Main St.  All proceeds benefit the Christian Mission.

September 14 - Solas Leighis Concert Series

Saint Patrick's Episcopal Church features Grammy and Indie Award winning Al Petteway & Amy White at the next Solas Leighis concert series event on Sunday, Sept 14 at 7pm.  The duo incorporates an intoxicating blend of original, tradition, contemporary Celtic- and Appalachian-influenced music with occasional nods to rock and jazz - this one is a don't miss!  A wine and cheese reception is included during intermission.  Tickets available at the door: $15 for adults, $10 seniors/students.  All proceeds benefit community outreach.

September 19 - Blues & Burritos

The 14th Annual Blues & Burritos will be held on Friday, September 19 from 6-10pm.  Hosted by the Homesley & Wingo Law Group this annual favortie festival takes place on the front lawn of the firm’s office. This year's performances include Pat Mother Blues Cohen, Max Drake and Shelia Carlisle as special guest performers joining Rusty Barkley and the Part Time Blues Band.  All donations from the event benefit the Lake Norman Wildlife Commission and HealthReach Community Clinic.

September 20 - Gateway Block Party

The 3rd Annual Gateway Block Party at exit 33 will be held Saturday Sept. 20, 2014 from 11am-3pm. The celebration, held in the Gateway Business Park, features bounce houses, slides, Zootastic Petting Zoo, free food, music, chances to win free stuff and more! Activities will include face painting, balloon animals, Bike Rodeo, children's arts and crafts, carnival games and more! Free and open to the public.

This year's Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists Wildlife Oyster & Shrimp Fest is set at the new LangTree Lake Norman. With the amazing Big Daddy's menu, there will be steamed oysters, steamed shrimp, and delicious barbeque. Join for an evening of fun, food, and entertainment - all kicking off at 5pm. There will be live music and many auction items too!
