June 1 - King of Wake Pro Wakeboard Tour, Stop #2 at Lake Norman. Mooresville is honored to host this event. This wakeboarding event attracts the sport's top athletes from throughout the globe. June 10 begins featured artist work of Peter Gendle and on June 11 begins featured artist work of Annie Glacken. An opening reception will be held on June 14 from 6-8 pm which is free and open to the public. Thsese exhibits will be on display through June at The Depot at the corner of Main and Center streets in downtown Mooresville from 11 am - 4 pm Tuesday through Saturday. June 16, 7 pm at Saint Patrick's Episcopal Church - As part of the Saint Patrick's Solas Leighis concert series Al Petteway & Amy White will perform their original, traditional, and contemporary Celtic- and Appalachian-influenced music and feature various musical instruments as well. June 22 at Queen's Landing is a Lake Norman "50 Years" festival sponsored by Duke Energy and organized by SOLO (Save Our Lake Organization) from 2-11 pm. Free Admission. At 2 pm Blessing of the Lake, from 2-6 pm live Christian music, educational activities for families, displays by lake-related organizations. From 7-11 pm live blues music provided by the Charlotte Blues Society.
June 22 - Charlotte Symphony Concert at McGuire Nuclear Station. Concert-goers may pack a picnic lunch. Boaters may anchor in the EnergyExplorium cove at the southern tip of Lake Norman. Snacks will be available to buy and will support East Lincoln High School's Band Booster Club. This event is free and open to the public.
